Hello

I'm Shivam. I'm curious and just love learning. As a person who is interested in marketing, I'm fascinated by the invisible forces that push people to go over the line and 'buy' the product/service. Why does a cheaper product with better/more features have fewer sales than a premium product with fewer features? Is consumer satisfaction the key to a successful organization?

My Story

From a very young age, I've always been passionate about marketing and design. I've always loved the idea of creating something new. As a teen, I used to ask questions like, "What was so influential about Nike's 'Find Your Greatness' or Apple's 'Think Different' campaign." I was very curious to uncover the invisible forces that pushed the consumers to finally "buy" the product.

Finding answers to these questions naturally pushed me in the direction of marketing.
As a result, I kept on learning more and more about marketing. Started doing a ton of courses and never stopped. This was the time when I started working as a Freelancer where I provided Social Media Marketing and Copywriting services to e-Commerce and Info product businesses.

While I was working in the "marketing industry", I found out that the foundation on which everyone else was working, was not correct. Marketing is about truly empathizing and understanding your users(i.e. fully understanding their problems, fears, needs, motivations, perspectives etc.).
I found out that all the other marketing agencies completely neglected this "empathizing" part.

Almost a year ago, I and my cousin too started an ethical fashion brand called ZERO. The vision of ZERO was to completely eradicate the concept of fast fashion from the face of the earth and replace it with ethical/sustainable fashion.

But even before our business could take off, we crashed. We would always run dry of cash. I was unable to use my marketing skills as we were always out of cash. Ultimately the lack of cash in our business caused the death of our ethical fashion brand. We realised that there were a lot of things that we still had to learn about "business".

But at the core, we still hate fast fashion and its negative impacts on our oceans and our planet. So, we decided to put our expertise to good use. I put in all my marketing expertise and started my marketing agency "Right Light Marketing" exclusively for ethical/sustainable brands also keeping in mind the importance of truly understanding the users. My cousin on the other hand decided to help local businesses with their bookkeeping/accounting needs.
